Disaster Response Base Camps and Emergency Support
The Single Simple Solution
for Emergency & Disaster Response Environments
When the mission starts, there is no time to coordinate twelve vendors. Pride Group gives government agencies, utilities, and contractors a single source for turn-key emergency support: one call, and the entire camp gets built. Shelter, dining, power, sanitation, showers, hydration, security, and logistics, deployed 24/7/365 and sustained for the life of the mission.
One call. One camp.
One partner.
One call.
Tell us the mission, the location, and the headcount. Deployment planning starts immediately.
One camp.
Our crews deliver and build the full environment from company-owned inventory: structures, power, sanitation, hydration, and communications.
One partner for the mission.
We service and sustain the camp daily (fuel, water, pumping, laundry, maintenance) and demobilize on your order.

The fire moved faster than the camps could stay still.
On June 18, 2002, a fire started near Cibecue on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. Two days later a second fire started near Chediski Peak. On June 23 they merged.
Before it was controlled on July 7, the Rodeo-Chediski Fire burned 468,638 acres of east-central Arizona, destroyed more than 400 structures, and forced the evacuation of roughly 30,000 people from Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside, Heber-Overgaard, and the surrounding Rim communities. At its peak more than 6,000 firefighters were on the ground. It was the largest wildfire in Arizona history until the Wallow Fire surpassed it in 2011.
Those 6,000 people had to sleep somewhere, eat somewhere, shower somewhere, and start each shift somewhere. That is the work Pride Group was there to do.
Why base camps are harder than they look
A wildfire base camp is a small city built in a day on ground that has no infrastructure: no power, no water lines, no sewer, no lighting, no roads worth the name. It has to feed hundreds of people on a shift cycle that never stops, keep crews clean enough to stay healthy, keep hydration in front of them in triple-digit heat, and give incident command a place to work that does not go dark.
And on a fire this size, it cannot stay where you built it. As the fire ran, the crews had to be closer to the line, which meant the camp had to move with them.
122 Associates, working to the Incident Management Team's schedule rather than a vendor's.
What Pride Group deployed
122 Associates.
Deployed to the incident, working to the Incident Management Team's schedule rather than a vendor's.
Leap-frog Hot Shot camps.
Rather than one fixed camp, crews stood up successive camps ahead of the fire's movement, breaking down behind the line and rebuilding forward so Hot Shot crews never lost a shift to travel time.
Billeting and shelter.
Sleeping structures and tents with flooring laid over raw ground, sized and re-sized as crew counts changed through the incident.
DFAC and feeding support.
Dining facility structures with lighting and service lines, built to run around the clock against a shift cycle that never stopped.
Sanitation and showers.
Restroom and shower units with daily service, pumping, and resupply, because crew health on a three-week incident is an operational input, not a comfort item.
Hydration.
Mass hydration equipment and potable water resupply sized to camp population and Arizona summer conditions.
Power and lighting.
Generators, distribution, and site lighting so camps operated through the night and command posts stayed live.
Security and access control.
Perimeter and access management at camps sited in and around communities under evacuation order.
The doctrine at work
Complexity.
A moving fire, a moving camp, a population of thousands, agencies at federal, state, tribal, and county level, and a schedule dictated by wind rather than by plan.
Clarity.
One organization that knew what a camp needs before the request came, so the Incident Management Team spent its attention on the fire instead of on procurement.
Control.
Camps that moved with the line without losing a service cycle, sustained daily for the length of the incident and demobilized clean.
When the mission moves, the support has to move with it. That is the whole argument for a Single Simple Solution™ in emergency response.
What emergency & disaster relief services does Pride Group provide?
Pride Group provides turn-key base camps and emergency site services: shelter and sleeper units, DFAC dining structures, generators from 6kW to 2,000kW, self-contained sanitation and shower units, mobile laundry, mass hydration and potable water, perimeter security, command and communications trailers, and daily camp sustainment, all from one source.
How fast can Pride Group respond to an emergency?
Response operates 24/7/365. Equipment reaches Phoenix-metro sites same day and anywhere in Arizona within 48 hours; regional and national deployments are dispatched immediately and scheduled to the mission. One call starts deployment planning: Dedicated Number for Emergencies 480.999.3282.
What is included in a Pride Group base camp?
A complete living and working environment: climate-controlled sleeping structures with bunks, DFAC feeding facilities, restrooms with fresh and grey/black water systems, showers, laundry, mass hydration, power and lighting, fencing and security, command trailers, and communications, sustained with daily fuel, water, and pumping service.
Does Pride Group hold government contract vehicles?
Yes. Pride Group serves government agencies, utilities, and contractors under GSA and cooperative contracts, and has supported FEMA, DHS-supported operations, and multiple Offices of Emergency Management. Past performance documentation is available on request.
What disasters has Pride Group responded to?
COVID-19 operations, Hurricanes Katrina, Harvey, Ian, and Ida, and Arizona wildfires including the Wallow, Rodeo-Chediski, Cave Creek Complex, and Horseshoe Two fires, alongside localized emergencies and severe-weather staging for utilities and agencies.
Can Pride Group support wildfire base camps?
Yes. Arizona wildfire camps are a core capability: rapid camp builds with sleeping structures, feeding facilities, showers, laundry, mass hydration, dust control, and daily sanitation service, sized and re-sized as crew counts change through the incident.
Who does Pride Group serve in emergency disaster response?
Government agencies at the federal, state, and municipal level, utilities staging for severe weather, and prime contractors supporting recovery missions. Each gets a single source and a single point of contact for the entire camp.
How long can Pride Group sustain a camp?
For the life of the mission. Pride Group installs structures with power, HVAC, lighting, and furnishings and maintains them in place for months, with daily fuel, water, pumping, laundry, and janitorial service cycles.
